Costume College: Inspired by a photo from the early 1920s, I styled Ginger of A Scene in the Past's hair on Gala night at Costume College to compliment her Lanvin Robe de Style inspired gown. She created & hand beaded her gown and bought vintage hair combs to accent her hair - doesn't she look amazing?! .

quick change regency hair
Costume College: My second costume of the weekend, c1799. This I created with my own hair. I started with my 1840s hairstyle, removing the clip-in curls, and changing my center front part to a softer back-swept front with wispy curls. The ends of that front section I curled with a small Marcel iron and pinned over my bun to create height and movement. Not bad at all for a 15 minute quick change!

RED Victorians
Costume College Hair: My first costume and historic hairstyle of of the weekend, the 1840s. This I created this with my own hair, supplemented with clip-in sausage curls in the front and a curl to finish off (read: cover the pins) the high bun. I was super happy with the results, although I have to say no matter how well done, I think RED hair with a somber Victorian dress is a bit too jarring!

home from Costume College 2014
I had a fabulous time in LA! Somehow I was able to finish all my hair before my plane left Virginia. It was a race to the finish though!
I have lots of photos of my finished work to share but I need to recover from jet-lag and catch up on some real life first...
